Breakfast in Dublin, Ireland.

The morning of New Years Eve I flew into the Motherland of my father's ancestors. I had originally planned to take it easy in the airport until my next flight, but I had a sudden urge to see as much of Dublin as I could in just two hours. I bought a bus ticket and went into town, St. Stephens Green being my first stop. The peacefulness of this infamous Irish park took over my body's exhaustion and I finally felt at ease after the 8 hour flight. I took a breath of fresh air and felt completely content in Ireland. Ron Wood could not have said it any better..."I love to go to Ireland JUST to relax."

Although my layover was short, I was able to notice a light energy I felt while roaming the streets of Dublin. The people I encountered were lovely and all so eager to point me in the next direction. I was fortunately able to see a bit of the Historical quarter, Grafton street (one of Ireland's most famous shopping streets), Trinity College, Christ Church Cathedral and finally the Queen of Tarts. The Queen of Tarts is a little gem I stumbled upon that truly suits their name. I later learned that it is also named one of the top 3 desert places in the entire city on Trip Advisor. If you ever have a quick layover in Dublin, do not miss the opportunity!
