Pink Champagne Afternoon Tea. Maida Vale, London.

In efforts of raising money for breast cancer, a dear friend of mine, Roxy Alamouti held a "Pink Champagne Afternoon Tea for Breast Cancer" event. Upon arrival we were greeted with rose petal maison jars with light pink straws waiting to be filled with her lovely Lychee martini concoction. The ambience was lit with aromatic candles, pink pillows, light pink glitter carefully dusted over the tables, and beautiful fresh cut roses. A representative from the charity Coppafeel was in attendance to raise awareness of breast cancer, and the symptoms to look out for. She spoke of the importance of 18-29 year olds getting regular checks as we often falsely associate breast cancer with old age.

Afterwards, we were led to a gorgeous display of finger foods Roxy had so intricately created. The variation of dishes was breathtaking and out of this world delicious! The spread of fabulous bite size masterpieces for starters included a candy beetroot, wild mushroom & horseradish buckwheat blini's, red quinoa tabbouleh cups, vegan rainbow wraps, white bean, violet potato & radish sliders and more! Desert included rose, lemon & raspberry bliss balls, strawberry & hazelnut truffles, watermelon, dark chocolate & coconut sticks which did not stop there. Thinking about it now is making my mouth water. Roxy even went the extra mile to make sure everything was vegetarian and gluten free! As the afternoon tea was coming to an end, we raised even more funds with a raffle. The prizes included luscious soaps, bath bombs, yoga mats, L'occitane gift sets, pink Möet, perfume and more. Luckily we all went home winners! To top of the perfect charity event we cheers'd pink champagne to our hostess with the most-ess! #ChefRoxy #LittleEdamame #Coppafeel #BreastCancer #TeamILoveBoobs
