After a quick hour flight from Bangkok, we landed in the beloved Phuket: definition of island life. Phuket is a rainforested, mountainous island in the Andaman Sea and has some of Thailand’s most popular beaches. It offers blue lagoons, pink sunsets and your occasional orange-robed monk. Our first trip to Bangtao beach was sunny, calm and dreamy. Now that it's off season, they warn you with heavy torrential downpours and cloudy skies but so far we've seen nothing but the sun. I'll take their "not so good weather" over London or Chicago any day. After a chilled out afternoon we took a long walk along the clear shoreline where we eventually discovered an empty hammock calling our names.
